the BIG wonder

This wonder has been rolling around in my head for a while now. I could have waited a couple of weeks or so to express such a big topic, but I thought… What the heck! Let’s just jump right into things, shall we?

When and where will I teach yoga?

I have had so many of you ask that same question. And to those of you ~ Much love! You will be the first to know when and where. i LOVE yoga! And I am SO ready to teach and share it with you all again.

But what got me thinking about this, really, is a certain video that’s gone viral ~ the video with narration by a British philosopher, Alan Watts, giving an inspirational speech to DO what you love. I love it! I’ve seen it several times, but every time I see it my mind wonders… especially the part of us showing our children the same day in, day out that we’ve been programmed to do is the right way to live a life. I want my children to do what they love, to live a life they love. But what am I showing them? That it’s right to go to a job every day and work til you wonder, “Where’s the balance?”  I do like my job. Don’t get me wrong. I work with some fabulous people! And I would miss them not being there. However, it’s not what makes me itch. It’s not my passion. It pays the bills and helps set a future for me and my children, but it doesn’t wake me every morning with fervor. And that fervor is what I want to show my children. That passion for life. That drive to wake up in the morning excited to go to “work”, excited to share with others what you’ve learned and are so passionate about that you’re busting at the seems if you don’t. With fervor is how I want to live my life.

So here are my wonders…

Do I search for an instructor position for nights and weekends and miss even MORE time with my children?

Do I take the chance on a full-time position at a studio or a couple of places combined?

Or do I work on opening my own studio and take a GREAT risk in even more areas?

It’s a tough call. Especially being a single mom. I’m not using my singleness as a crutch, but I do feel like I have a lot more riding on my shoulders at all times. I want to teach my children how to have the best in life (and not just monetarily) and to show them that ANYTHING be done.

When faced with two choices, simply toss a coin. It works not because it settles the question for you, but because in that brief moment when the coin is in the air, you suddenly know what you are hoping for. – unknown

I know what the answer is. I just have to get there.

What do you desire? What makes you itch?
