No real reason for writing tonight. Just because. Sometimes it’s nice to write and send something into the void of the internet and not really have an agenda. This week is almost over and I am happy for it. It’s been a long week of running the rat race. On top of that, I have one sick child and another with infected ear piercings – so infected that one is completely embedded in the lobe. So it’s off to the MD tomorrow to have it removed. I’m dreading it for her. Another one of those times where you wish you could take all the pain away from your children to bear yourself. But all I can do is reassure her I’ve been exactly where she is and it will be okay. And she smiles.
So after all is settled, I turn on the heater and fall into my pilates practice. It feels so good to sweat and feel the power I forget I have at times. I miss my yoga peeps. They’re so positive and empowering. Just a little over 2 weeks until our next session. I can’t wait!
In the meantime, I’ve received interest of leading my very own first yoga class soon… Ah!! I’m a ball of nervous excitement! I’m excited to share what I love but nervous about how to present it. And I’m nervous about the playlist. Imagine that! I’m nervous they won’t like the music. I’ve been to some classes where it was all I could do to stay focused. I disliked the music so much that it threw everything else off-kilter. I was too focused on the music to enjoy my practice. I so don’t want that for someone in my class. So if you’re reading this and you happen to be there, speak up. Tell me what you like and what you don’t like, what music you prefer and what throws you off. I realize I won’t be able to please everyone all the time, but I like feedback. I like suggestions. What music do you like to combine yoga with ? Let’s throw it all in and have fun. Let’s have fun and smile! Just because.
Om shanti, my loves.
